Features

• Height adjustment is easy with the jack handle: The height of the main unit is adjusted using a spring-operated jack handle. The spring is adjusted so that the force is balanced when glassware and piping are connected, allowing it to be raised and lowered with little effort. To lock/unlock the jack, simply twist the handle. It has a maximum height stroke of 200 mm, making it convenient for attaching and detaching distillation flasks.
• Glass set and bath can be rearranged to the left or right: The position of the glass set bath can be installed on either the left or right side of the main unit depending on your dominant hand and the location. It can be changed to the reverse orientation by rotating the motor box behind the operation panel. You can freely arrange it according to the limited space inside a fume hood or on a laboratory bench. Three vertical glass sets type B can be placed inside a fume hood.
• Intuitive operability and wide range of RPM settings possible: The device is operated using the operation panel in the center. Turning the encoder (knob) slowly changes the rotation speed display by 1, and turning it quickly changes it by 10. The rotation speed can be set in a wide range (low to high speed) from 5 to 315 rpm. After confirming the rotation speed, press the ▶｜■ key to rotate the distillation flask. The rotation mode can be selected from forward rotation, reverse rotation, and automatic reversal that repeats forward ⇆ reverse rotation for a set time.
• Improved durability of vacuum seal with liquid accumulation prevention structure: To prevent condensate that accumulates in the cooling tube from running down the inside and entering the vacuum seal, a fold (structure to prevent liquid accumulation) is provided just before the vacuum seal inside the cooling tube. By preventing backflow into the vacuum seal, the durability of the vacuum seal has been improved. If you frequently use samples that contain organic solvents, please use the PTFE vacuum seal (sold separately).
• Two types of bathtubs that are easy to maintain: Two types of baths are available: water baths and oil baths (for both water and oil). They are large capacity 5L sizes with external dimensions of φ262mm and internal dimensions of φ240mm. There are no heaters or sensors inside the baths, and they are flat, making them easy to clean. They are equipped with safety features such as automatic overheat prevention, upper temperature limit abnormality, and independent overheat prevention (fixed temperature).
• Bath cover (optional): To prevent hot water, oil splashing, and clothing from getting caught.
• Cooling pipe insulation is included as standard (common to glass sets A and B): The glass set comes standard with an insulating material to prevent condensation on the cooling pipe surface. Please use it together with the nozzle insulating material. It is also possible to purchase it as an optional item.
• The sample introduction tube cover prevents backflow of condensate (Glass Set B) (Patent No. 7209346): A sample introduction tube cover was installed inside the cooling tube to prevent the condensate in the cooling tube from flowing back up the sample introduction tube into the distillation flask. It is shaped to cover the sample introduction tube from above, and an extremely complex structure was achieved with a glass cover mounted inside the glass tube.
• Linked functions with vacuum controller VR102S: It is linked to and controls the vacuum controller VR102S (sold separately). Power can also be supplied from the RE202 using a dedicated cable.
